From Wired mag:
“Young people just aren’t interested in reading newspapers and print magazines.”
“John Athayde, also 27, a web designer who works in Washington, D.C., buys a newspaper once every “two to three months,” usually “because someone I know has a picture in the events section or something.” Instead, he views news as “packets of distributed information,” and uses NetNewsWire to aggregate about 70 news sources, including several blogs. “I typically will read entire stories within the news aggregator, bypassing all design (and) advertising” to get “to the content.”
And as i wrote some months ago, who’s gonna visit your website when most of the content will be feeded?

Does anyone know about them?
From Bergen, Norway, friends of the Royksopp and Kings of convenience, they’ll be playing at the main hall this tuesday nite.
Their last EP is available on their site as free mp3s.

I’ve managed to go to the gogirl meeting this morning (french version of it being déniaise ostie ’till we find something better) with my hangover from yesterday nite and a running nose. I guess mixing substances such as vodka, beer and sinus medicine ain’t no good for me (or anyone else).
Spent the rest of the day in bed, thinking instead of working.
The gogirl meeting went fabulous, malgré mon étât. G, G and me shared a bunch of information and discussed about the projects each of us are working on. I have been doing these kind of meetings since a year now: talking about our projects, putting down tasks and objectives, sharing info, en plus des autres chroniques telles que ’suivis de vie’ where we get out of the work related issues and get into more personal stuff such as broken heart stories and how is it to be a single woman these days.
None the less to say that i always have a good time with these girls. With each of us working on our own – me as a designer/art director/keeping busy girl, the 2 others being a teacher/designer and an actor/life coach – it is such a chance to share our knowledge as freelancers about everything that touches self employed topics.
I am now thinking about a solution to compile online the core info we gather from the meetings. A blog was my first idea, but now being introduced to the wiki format, i wonder what would be better since i want all members to be able to read and add documentation. Any infos about setting up a wiki page will be welcomed.
ps: iTune Canada music store is still not online.. And he still hasn’t answered my mail concerning my ipod serie..

There are these moments, when suddenly everything falls in place, all elements for happiness suddenly show up. You open your eyes and woooosh! – everything is just fine -
I had one of these moments just a minute ago, getting feedback from a happy client, looking outside seeing the mt-royal covered with sun, and the sky in a clear blue (and the music started to play in the background, people started to dance and sign, lights went on, whew, am i in a movie? is that all real?).
Am i on a high? probably the advil for sinus+all other remedies i am taking ‘caus i have a cold.
Anyways, it does feel great.

UPDATE
A wiki page has been set up to help support the idea of a weblog conference in mtl, international or not, blogtalk or not. Might you be interested in the topic, you can see it evolving at the following url:
* Montreal social softwarer conference
*****
As Heiko pointed, there wont be a Blogtalk 3.0.
Thomas Burg announced that there will be no European BlogTalk 3.0 and is looking for help on organizing a broader international weblog conference.
I am quite interested in having such a thing around. What about montreal?
Follow the thread here.
