‘Vu d’ici (Seen from here) – Quebecois blogger Marie-Chantale Turgeon sheds light on excellent unknown acts such as Winnipeg mood rockers Vitaminsforyou while highlighting popular Canucks like Solvent and Hot Hot Heat.’
no spelling mistakes in my name, url or french words – quite nice.

Let’s celebrate together this now oh-so-mainstream thing called podcasting, or what Apple now calls indie podcasting: people like I, using the internet as a medium to do many things, such as playing music and talk’n about everything and anything. People seem to like it, ipods do.
Get this podcast right here, then share it like love.
Tracklisting:

Today marked a full weak without internet connection at home. Yes, you read it well: my internet provider, Bell Sympatico, while cutting my phone line ‘caus i dont need it, managed to mess things up pretty well so i have no internet connection since a week.
I wont write much about it, i’m sure you get the picture already.

Dude, my Vu d’ici – Seen from here podcast is listed on the new iTune podcast section, this mean, you can go and subscribe to it right now.
Last time i checked my stats, the download of my podcast was around 6 000 for june. Today it reached 9 000 downloads compare to 4 000 at this time last month.
If i play with numbers in my head, this could mean that if each of you would give 1$ for each podcast of mine you download, i would probably be rich right now – what i am not. All my paintings and illustrations (ok, mostly all) are for sale.

Strangely, not having an internet connection has kinda turned my blog brain off (assuming you know that i have a brain left only for blogging, eh).
But,
there are plenty of good shows comming – such as Jay Jay Johansson this next sunday – and the weather is too nice to stand here in front of you.
Goodbye, computer.

At last year’s Web 2.0 Conference, we gathered to discuss the implications of the Web becoming a platform. This year, we’re taking Web 2.0 further, focusing not just on declaring the platform, but showing where the innovation is happening and what we might expect in the coming year. We’re assembling a select group of thought leaders and innovators to explore this year’s theme–”Revving The Web”– focusing on the services, applications, businesses, and models that are reshaping the Internet, particularly for media and entertainment, communications and mobile, policies and legal issues, and the concept of the web OS.
Web 2.0 conference, October 5-7 2005, San Francisco.

I have received an invite for Odeo Beta. These guys are taking ages to officially kick da little one into the cyberspace, so not all of you can see that the Vu d’ici – Seen from here podcast is listed there.
If you are a beta subscriber, my channel is here.
Cool features:
- all podcasts are listed with tags wich easily give users a classification they need to find a specific show (country, city, topics covered etc.);
- easy listening and subscription system;
- you can see the subscribers to a given show;
- see the user’s other subscriptions or produced podcasts;
- track comments they’v made around Odeo;
The Create section is still not up, but this should be quite cool too, featuring a browser based tool to create podcasts, phone posting and feed creation and hosting.
Most of all, i think Odeo is gonna create THE real podcast community. Will it still be free?

wohhoooohooo – je pourrais m’enfler la tête 2 secondes :
“The bilingual Vu d’ici/Seen From Here is the best Montreal nightlife blog we’ve seen so far. Among the standard fashionista gathering and techno parties, however, was this one gem (…) “ from the Gridskipper urban travel guide.
In lieu, je suis en bô ciboire. Pardonnez moi l’utilisation de gros mots, et laissez moi vous étaler pouquoi je suis en si bô ciboire (dites le vite pour voir, sibociboire) :
1 – déboires avec la cie qui a acheté néomedia en avril derniers, ils m’en font baver – je passe définitivement trop de temps au téléphone avec les sympatiques gens des normes du travail conflit réglé;
2io – arrivée à la maison, plus de connection internet. Bell devaient couper ma ligne téléphonique demain, me laissant maintenant heureuse aquisitrice d’une connection haute vitesse sympatico sans avoir à payer 40$ dans l’beurre pour ma connection téléphonique inutilisée;
Fuck uff toutte ci*****.
