Here we go: Vu d’ici 3.0!

Vu d’ici is now, finally, relaunched!

I planned this relaunch since 2 years, and the only reason why you see this new site up today is because i sat and started to just do it, playing around directly in wordpress, instead of fantasizing about changing the face of web design by playing around for days (or years) in photoshop and actually not moving on.

So here it is. I played around and this new version of Vu d’ici is born. I saw it way too much for now, but i guess for all the readers its a major change, and a suprise.

I hope you’ll like this new design – as i went through different phases, and emotions, about making this step. It made me realize that its now the third version of this site which i call my blog, that its been 5 years (and 2435 entries) that i use this platform to express myself, and that it has to grow along, hand in hand with me, changing form easily and be close to what i do.

I leave you with this new house of mine, just as i am about to leave for 2 weeks holidays, something i havent done in years. I know the site is not perfect, it might be slow, some links or images might be missing, but hey, i am just moving in!

*Big thanx to Laurent and Chris who helped make the move easier!!

  3. very nice! Only comment I would make is regarding the navigation buttons at top right. I hardly noticed them at first. I think they blend a bit too much with the banner.

also relating to Edgar’s comment, the “RSS conversations” link under “Meta”) is also not right.

PS. is it wrong for me to giggle at “mousse over”? ;-D
(no offense intended, Edgar. it just seemed a bit funny to this English speaker reading French 🙂 )

PPS. Wow, 2 weeks. Lucky! I’m just starting my 1 week vacation.
