The ease with which content can now be created and disseminated on the internet has meant a huge influx of truly independent journalism in the music world. While new media has had implications across the board for major and conventionally independent outlets alike, single individuals and small groups have been hugely empowered by the new landscape. This panel will bring together some of the major emerging music players in self-publishing/broadcasting, and provide the audience with some insight into what it means to be an individual player in this new wild west.
