Hu hu oh?
CBC Radio, Canada’s public broadcaster, is set to announce a series of podcasting projects that I believe will all be massively ground-breaking. So stay tuned to this blog for the very first word.
For now, though, I can say this: If you are a Canadian independent musician and you are looking for a way to get your music heard to a much wider audience, I strongly, strongly recommend you sign your band up at NewMusicCanada.com . (Gee, is that a ‚ÄúPodsafe-Friendly?‚Äù button I see there? 😉 )
this way –> Exclusive: CBC to Announce Major Podcasting Initiatives
That should read “If you are an ENGLISH Canadian independent musician”.
I know of a local band that applied because they thought it would be good exposure because you know, the boundaries of Canada dont stop at Hawkesbury and that’s what they were told. We speak white only (in so many words).
(That band 2 years later played the Metropolis so it wasnt just some wankers)
As much as flag wavers dont want to admit it, it’s really two separate countries. You may not notice it because you are bilingual but those are the kinds of things that make one side realize that they have nothing in common (I came back from out west and the other side is just as bad. Language, language, language…)
