just found the following notes in a book left over for weeks:
– blogs are giving space to emerging talents, giving them a window they would never have got otherwise
– thus they are also giving space for experimentation and amateur content, amateurs being: 1- artists who took a different way than the usual academic path, who are not depending or waiting on any kind of approval (diploma) to publish their work (video, text, photo, audio, …) 2- the ‘average’ people who can make use of the blog as self publishing tools in a creative way
– i doubt the name blog will still be used in 5 years from now. Blogs will become what the ‘traditionnal’ web is to us right now
– personal blogs are now becoming some kind of virtual id’s
– are music podcasters the new record dealers? the ones who knew your taste in music, with whom you exchanged and learned about music?
