Live audio recording

Is the iRiver still a good buy for recording interviews and live shows? I am in need of such cheap device before leaving.

    I love my iRiver and use it to record my podcast. The built-in mic is ok, but you are able to plug a mic straight into the “Line-In” port to get a better sound. I don’t know if that’s cheap enough, but it does get the job done. Great show, as always.
