{"id":778,"date":"2005-02-04T20:40:40","date_gmt":"2005-02-05T00:40:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mcturgeon.com\/blg\/2005\/02\/04\/blogtree\/"},"modified":"2023-09-07T05:07:02","modified_gmt":"2023-09-07T10:07:02","slug":"blogtree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcturgeon.com\/blog\/2005\/02\/04\/blogtree\/","title":{"rendered":"BlogTree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A week before <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0110772\/2005\/01\/13.html#a1685\">sebastien<\/a> posted about it, i imagined a system that would allow us to create an genealoy of blogs: Who inspired who to create a blog, which blog author created the sparkle you needed to create your own?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogtree.com\/about.php\">Blogtree<\/a> provides a way for subscribers to enter their parent blogs (blogs that inspired them to create their own) which allows them to discover their siblings (other blogs created by your &#8216;parent&#8217; blog).<\/p>\n<p>In my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogtree.com\/blogtree.php?blogid=817\">exemple<\/a>, caterina was one of the first blog i discovered in 2001. You can see which blogs got her to create her own one (parent blogs), her siblings, and finally child blogs that were inspired by her weblog.<\/p>\n<p>My blog is listed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogtree.com\/blogtree.php?blogid=19839\">there<\/a> &#8211; please go on and add me as a parent if i did inspired the creation of your blog, not for egoistical purpose &#8211; i would just love to see the genealogy of Vu d&#8217;ici.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the blogtree site seems to be down most of the time.<\/p>\n<p>(In case you are wondering, the word &#8216;blog&#8217; does appear 17 times in this post).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A week before sebastien posted about it, i imagined a system that would allow us to create an genealoy of blogs: Who inspired who to create a blog, which blog author created the sparkle you needed to create your own?
