i love your blog. i just got linked to it from the tofu hut’s massive links. i have really been trying to find some bands with french lyrics with a similar style to bands that i like, but i am not having any luck. it seems that all of the french bands i come across are too
\npoppy. are there any french speaking equivalents of Interpol, Bloc Party, Built to Spill, or even that new-new wave like the Bravery?<\/b><\/p>\n
I figure you might be my best bet to find out the top 4-5 indie-type francophone bands.<\/p>\n
The recent Spin article about montreal music covers the english speaking bands, but ignores the french. (the stills, arcade fire, dears, etc). And in the comments section people mention the ommission but don’t offer up any band names of whom exactly they are missing. I have recently become obsessed with all things Montreal, and am actually trying to learn french and find out anything i can about the city.<\/p>\n
