Thanks to iKlear, i now have a clean screen. ‘Caus all my collaborators will tell ya: i’ve got the dirtiest powerbook in town.
As much as i like this latest apple system update, the little Tiger doesnt play it easy on the ram.
Did someone figured out how to deactivate the dashboard and spotlight (not so useful – already seen) features?
We urgently need to find a djing software which could be used on mac osX.
tried traktor before but it’s so not osx friendly… Please help!!
Dude.. i know some people are gonna be way too broke to go out for the next couple of months:
Das neue PowerBook is there!
Still – not a G5 – but weeeee! 512 of ram, 80 gig hard drive and 1.67gz, it was worth the wait.
again, dunno what’s happening:
my computer doesnt see the ipod anymore. It is connected trough the firewire port.
Normal reset (menu + enter button) does reset but nothing seems to work when the ipod is connected to the computer…
From the BBC xmas comedy show.

Everybody’s talking about it, so why not me -
Heiko pointed to this really funny note on the apple ipod suffle info page:
I am oh so happy that the powerbook has no improvement in speed or in processor – sorry alex, but i just spent 3000$ on my pbg4 and would have been much disappointed to see the new one improved for the same price.
Otherwise, the ipod shuffle is quite nice, if you can remember not to eat it.

ph just pointed me to the UK version.. !
Seems to be true:
“apple cripples recording on an ipod so belkin and griffin then have to sell us add-on devices for over $50 that can only record at 8khz, which is all pretty shitty. apparently (the rumor is) apple does this so people don’t use their ipods to record stuff they think we shouldn’t, like concerts, whatever.”

Some more geek stuff: i just installed Romeo on my sony ericsson T610 – blown away.
I got my first experience synchronizing the phone with bluetooth 2 weeks ago, and now i can use it as a remote control for my computer since everything is connected to it, tv and snd system, at the other end of my flat, about 9 meters away.
This freeware application allows you remote control of your mac via Bluetooth and a compatible mobile device (Ericsson t39m, t68, t610, t616 and Palm and Nokia 3650/7650 via Veta Universal), controlling programs such as iTunes and DVD Player, as well as presentation applications. As well as being able to create your own menus you can use the phone as a mouse for control of anything and everything.
Get it here.
thx to f for the hint.
hum oh.. Having some trouble mounting the ipod – since today, it doesnt mount on my desktop and in itune. I have stfw, deleted preferences and logged out, didnt worked. Any thoughts?
Cheers.
So, what about the next generation?
Cheaper, smaller, lighter – always better.
