Loobylu from the world of Oz pointed today to the On my desk… Wednesday meme, a picture project aimed to peek in at other people’s stuff, but otherwise another great way to connect with uber creative souls around the globe – i think Creacamp girls should jump in! Just join and post each wednesday a picture of your work desk, as it is.

This is Chris’s desk… which says it all: I am wrangling with software code as well as with hardware tools which I am using for my sculptures.

Netherland blogger Nina posted on flickr her 6 pieces for the 6×6 project – hard to hide my enthousiasm for this project! It is always a very nice surprise to see how another artist is using the material i have sent them…
My 6 pieces will have to wait a little, still waiting for Nina’s package coming over from the Netherlands.
The 6×6 project might expand a little further this year, since we are sending proposals to galleries. Let us know if you have any tips about where or who could be interested in exhibiting a collective project like this one.

Hey people! I have submitted a tee shirt design called Triumph (Ipod Serie) to Threadless.com to be voted and hopefully printed.
If I get enough high scores the shirt will be printed and sold from the site, take a look at it and if you like it, vote for it!

End of the month, time for tax papers. You are now reading words written by the worst procrastinator ever when its time for paper work – even if i know this will take me just a few hours, i dont like numbers, so anything will distract me from getting going.
‘Keeping Focus While Beating Back Distractions‘ is a list of really interesting tips to keep your focus laser sharp, and your urge to procrastinate at bay.
The ones i like most are ‘Take frequent, smaller breaks‘ – this is your chance to nap often dear at-home-worker, and ‘Switch activities constantly‘ – its just like that, i work better if i switch of activities often, and no, dont blame the attention disorder, i’m just like that!

Enfin fière d’annoncer les prochaines dates de Creacamp pour cette nouvelle année! Les voici, les détails se trouvent sur creacamp.org:
- Off Creacamp le 20 février 2008, de 18h à ++

We just updated the Meïdia Studio website with some news (nouvelles en français ici) announcing our latest realizations, CITIZENShift and its sister site in french, Parole Citoyenne, which were both launched in beta last December.

Both sites are interactive platforms where people can explore social issues through films, photography, articles, blogs and podcasts – spaces for everyone to engage with other activists and creative people, and to share media content. Meïdia was responsible for creating the concept along with CITIZENShift and Parole Citoyenne’s team, graphic design, development and integration of the backend, testing and quality assurance of both platforms.
Over the last months we’ve also worked with Passeport Santé, bringing to life their podcasting project, we’ve supported Alternatives’s youth internship programs with our workshops about web publishing tools, and a new website coming soon for Codes d’accès. We also contributed to a chapter of the book Pourquoi Bloguer dans un contexte d’affaires, and m-c self-published her first book, First Thoughts on life, blogging, and the creative process. Whew!
We are now back from a trip in Berlin, a trip in which we explored what was happening technology wise in Europe, so that we can better perform in the projects we create here. About what 2008 will bring our way, we can’t predict exactly (we still do not have this talent!), but as Meïdia will be 3 years old soon, we feel like our business is entering a more adult stage, one for which we feel better equipped to start on new ventures. You’ll get to hear about this on our respective blogs.
On this, looking forward to meet you on our new adventures!

Our cooperation with berlin’s street artist 6. We were there me and chris for 2 hours to create sculptures and paint around. The installation can be seen on kopenicker str 137.
‘Berlin is so gray, why dont you wear color?’, ‘Smile to strangers’, ‘xplore’, ‘heart’, ‘inspire’, ‘forgive’, ‘re-invent’ were the keywords i used.

Tree art,

Heart beat,

Love potions,

Smile to strangers,

Follow the hearts…
