You dont need this

sticker

Consuming consuming consuming.

Sunday afternoon, seeing the shopping centers full of parked cars. Full of people with a dull life, having nothing else to do then consume.

Cars, gadget, kids toys, implants, diets, clothes, food, another TV, radio, video, jewels, makeup, dishes, electronics – spending money to fill the gap.

How often i told myself ‘they dont need this’ but they dont know it… Maybe we should help them remember…

J’aimerais bien

Casecamp

This picture was taken last week after we’ve been attending the first Casecamp event in Montreal. A bunch of marketing people around me, i could have felt at the wrong place – but no, listening to case studies from people working in a different field then mine was quite inspiring and it got us to think a little more ‘out of a box we so well know‘ since most of the information exchanged there was about a field we do not directly work in.

Best of all was Andy Nulman’s presentation. A little research on wikipedia and google once back home and we learned about Airbone entertainment and Andy’s intense background (from where we also understood why his presentation was also oh-so intense!).

Wardrobe remix, fashion by the people for the people

Yesterday Chris, after spending fun time vacuum cleaning, discovered the wardrobe remix pool on flickr. I, like him, found some really interesting and nice looking pictures, but i think there’s more to it.

The essence behind it is maybe what will be changing the world of women fashion magazines where the clothes, and models, are often too far from reality.

What if wardrobe remix people would add infos about the clothes’s prices and the shop where they bought them? These girls are posting pictures of themselves wearing clothes that fit to their style and size, clothes in which they feel comfortable. They are humans publishing about fashion products, watched by millions of consumers around the world.

As a girl i know, and many of you i’m sure, that women’s fashion magazines are far from reality, selling images of skinny unhealthy bodies wearing highly priced clothes. Something about fantasy, nothing about reality.

Christiane remplacera Marie-France

Everyone is a journalist

Journalism is a recent trend in history. Before there were newspaper, everyone was a reporter. People passed the news to each other. the arrival of the newspaper brought about a sudden division between journalist and reader. You could only read about what the journalist considered newsworthy. That led to a narrowing of vision. The internet has put this one-way traffic right again; never before has it been so easy to send a message into the world, and millions of people have their own weblogs. Now everyone is a journalist.
