Christine‘s book was waiting for me at the post office today, an unexpected surprise since i had no hope to receive the book before some more weeks – damn the slow US-Canada post service – but there it was, handled to me as saying C’mon, take me home!
Well, the book is a beautiful piece that made my heart sing – I felt so happy to hold in my hands this precious work of her. As a loyal reader of Christine’s blog since years, I feel i’ve been virtually part of this book’s creation process. I’ve read through the ups and down, i’ve been there to share all the courage and guts that was put down to selfpublish this book – i know what it feels to try to keep up, to start and complete a personal creative project. I know about the excitement, the discipline it takes, and the rituals. I know one must show up to the page, face all the internal demons, and still, do it for one’s sake. It takes courage – tons of it – and I could more than often recognize myself in the struggles, feel the excitement, the hopes and fears of bringing such a work into the world.
As i skipped through the book tonight, words were floating out, almost shouting at me, words i most needed to hear today, as to confirm, in the silence of my kitchen, what my heart is most trying to tell me since weeks, months, years: stop loosing yourself emcee, do what you love most and stop loosing yourself.
I hear it but try to avoid it – and it comes back, it is always there – Stop loosing yourself emcee, do what you love most, you’re almost there.
The words are there, i hear them, read them, and then i’m up with a strong feeling of trust in myself and in my work, until the moment where this feeling is gone again, leaving all space for fears to rises up and make me forget Who i really am… Once lost, it can get so hard and painful to get back, that just this thought creates a new fear in itself… How did i get so lost? What if it happens again…
Christine’s book is one of a brilliant soul, one who’s got a heart wide open and a rare talent to express what we as creative beings most need to hear. I totally dig her way of sharing her life experiences in the most loving, wise, compassionate way.
Here tonight I feel like i’ve found in this book a good companion, one to remember me to keep listening to what my heart sings, even when the fear is there, as if it’s there only for me to learn to dance with.

I feel like one peaceful soul, connected to many others, trying to reach through a light fog. We’re all there, silent but there. Via.

There would be so much to write from this last trip, how could i translate all this beauty i’ve seen.
One thing is for sure, traveling is what makes me feel most alive. I’ve seen so much beauty, met many people, visited lost corners of the world and all of me wants more.
It is now clearer, my life should be filled with safari moments. I loved the monkeys, macaws, toucan and other species who shared their space with us for 2 weeks.
And i cant complain that it’s already over – i’ve been there for every minute, me in the now at all time, enjoying all parts of our adventure: the lost luggages, the constant moving from a to b, the pouring of rain over us every day, the sickness, the unknown and so on.
I am filled with a need to see more. Filled with the need to be more of who i really am.
Wondering, who’s agenda is that on my table? Who’s house is that? As if, i know too well that i have changed, and my outside world will soon follow.

Les Moquettes Coquettes animatrices-humoristes
Unies depuis 4 ans dans la création et le plaisir, les Moquettes Coquettes (5 performeuses et une Moquette secrète) partageront leur cheminement fulgurant. Il sera question du travail en groupe, du réseautage et du fait d’être une fille dans le milieu des communications.
Marie-Hélène Bellavance
chorégraphie, danse, arts visuels
Marie-Hélène Bellavance maintient une pratique rigoureuse sur la scène contemporaine et s’établit comme voix émergente importante dans le réseau artistique Montréalais.
Ayant déjà plusieurs expositions solo à son actif depuis 2005, elle se fait voir aussi à différentes expositions collectives. Parallèlement à ses projets en art visuel, elle participe comme interprète à la pièce “All in an Instant” de la chorégraphe londonienne Jemima Hoadley. La pièce sera présentée à Montréal en 2005, puis retravaillée en 2007 pour le Festival “Résolution!” à Londres.
En 2006-2007, Bellavance fait un premier saut comme chorégraphe et conceptrice artistique avec la pièce “S’ancrer dans la Suspension”. Pour ce projet, elle s’associe à la danseuse et chorégraphe émergente Stéphanie Vignau et présente la pièce à Tangente puis lors des Printemps de la danse 2008.
Yannick B. Gélinas Vidéo et nouveaux médias
Yannick B. Gélinas est une artiste de la vidéo et des nouveaux médias: courts-métrages, installations, cédéroms, art-web, poésie. Cette touche-à-tout des arts numériques partage sa passion sur le web depuis près de dix ans. Elle partage sa perspective sur les médias numériques et la vidéo à travers ses blogues, des chroniques télé, entrevues et conférences.
Véronique Boisjoly et Anne-Marie Bergeron Blogue et vidéo
En avril dernier, Véro B et Anne-Marie Bergeron, blogueuses et vidéastes, ont l’idée de créer un collectif réunissant vidéastes, musiciens, réalisateurs, animateurs et autres créateurs qu’elles admirent. Ainsi est né //URLER.TV, une webtv qui explore un différent thème à chaque mois, en humour et en arts, par le web et pour le web.
Luce Beaulieu Design durable
En 2004, Luce s’engage dans la voie du design durable et crée tour à tour des sacs puis des t-shirts fabriqués de tissus récupérés: la marque POSCH voit le jour en 2005. Désireuse d’offrir une plateforme de dialogue sur le design et le développement durable, elle lance ensuite un blogue en plus d’offrir ses services de consultante auprès de clients actifs en développement durable.
Par la suite, Luce fonde Perennia design + développement durable avec Cedric Sportes et Muriel Kearney. Parmi ses clients, Perennia compte la Ville de Montréal, Rona, Énovo et le Salon national de l’environnement.

Table ronde et atelier thématique
Lors du dernier Creacamp, nous avions engagé une table ronde sur la promotion. La question de l’argent, et plus particulièrement de notre rapport à l’argent, a été soulevée lors de cette rencontre. Nous aimerions bien poursuivre cette réflexion et voir comment l’argent pourrait ou non faire notre bonheur en création. Quelques pistes de discussions seront proposées…
La création et l’argent font-ils bon ménage? Vivre de son art, est-ce possible? L’argent fait-il le bonheur? Croyez-vous en votre capacité à être prospère, tout en faisant ce qui vous passionne? La discussion sera ouverte, préparez vos notes, questions, interrogations, suggestions à partager sur ce sujet!

Pour que chaque participant(e)s puisse repartir avec vos coordonnées, nous vous offrons la possibilité de distribuer votre promotion via le sac surprise qui sera distribué aux personnes présentes. À votre arrivée, il sera important de laisser 60 items promotionnels de votre choix à la personne responsable des sacs. Les items peuvent être : votre carte d’affaires, votre flyer de type carte postale, ou autre, ne dépassant pas le format 8×11. (Une promo par personne!)
