Something to daydream
This photo is for you to daydream. It was created by Austrian architect and artist Hundertwasser and it is called Waldspirale (translated it means “spiral forest“).

Go Backpacking: Yesterday I discovered the Round the World blog by Dave, which is very inspiring. He is writing nearly every single day… currently from India. I like his reflections on life and traveling. And he offers very useful information on how to plan a trip carefully, no matter if you will travel for 1 month or for several years. (0)
Squam Art Workshops: I did not made up my mind yet, but is there anyone from Montreal attending the Squam Art Workshops event? Some of my favorite bloggers will be there, and i’m sure there’s gonna be electricity-love-and creativity in the air! (0)
Faire parti de la solution: Un résumé de présentation à lire sur l’excellent blogue de Sylvain Allard, qui se concentre sur le design et les questions éthiques du Packaging, avec un grand P. (1)

« Creativity means enjoying any work as meditation; doing any work with deep love. When you understand, whatsoever you do - cooking, cleaning, etc… Life consists of small things; just your ego goes on saying these are small things. You would like some great thing to do - a great poetry, a great painting… Drop the ego and everything is creative. »Osho-

That’s what I would call a greenroof… !_!
And I think it is an excellent isolation against low and high temperature as well; there are more and more houses in Europe which have a green roof. And you can lay on it.
I really love his work, I’ve been to a great exhibition of his work in Rotterdam a few years ago. I really like the fact that he shows new possible ways of living in these experimental buildings with gardens on top of them etc. Cities would be much better places if they had a little more Hundertwasser in them!
Nina, you are absolutely right. I wonder why there are not more “radical” architects out there… but maybe it’s too hard to get such a project financed.
