Am i late on this or it is so fresh that no one knows?
Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information, but much of that information isn’t yet online. Google Print aims to get it there by putting book content where you can find it most easily – right in your Google search results.
Google Print is now online, and its nice nice nice! As long as the book you are searching for is there, you’ll be able to read some of the book pages (i typed in ‘The cluetrain manifesto’ – they didnt had it in there but pointed me to ‘We, the media‘ with about 45 pages preview).

Hu hu oh?
CBC Radio, Canada’s public broadcaster, is set to announce a series of podcasting projects that I believe will all be massively ground-breaking. So stay tuned to this blog for the very first word.
For now, though, I can say this: If you are a Canadian independent musician and you are looking for a way to get your music heard to a much wider audience, I strongly, strongly recommend you sign your band up at NewMusicCanada.com . (Gee, is that a “Podsafe-Friendly?” button I see there?
)

Deep down in the drain.

Thanks to everyone who showed up at yesterday’s party. I feel sad from not being able to have a chat with everyone, but many half conversations – and today i’ve got some weird buzz in my ears et je sais pas combien de caisses de bière vides à ramasser.
Anyways, i also wanted to thank the person who have left a can of pepsi in the fridge – i swear i usually never drink that shit, but today it kinda saved my life.

Got an interesting mail from a reader. Gotta run but if you guys can share about the topic it’s gonna be fun:
i love your blog. i just got linked to it from the tofu hut’s massive links. i have really been trying to find some bands with french lyrics with a similar style to bands that i like, but i am not having any luck. it seems that all of the french bands i come across are too
poppy. are there any french speaking equivalents of Interpol, Bloc Party, Built to Spill, or even that new-new wave like the Bravery?
I figure you might be my best bet to find out the top 4-5 indie-type francophone bands.
The recent Spin article about montreal music covers the english speaking bands, but ignores the french. (the stills, arcade fire, dears, etc). And in the comments section people mention the ommission but don’t offer up any band names of whom exactly they are missing. I have recently become obsessed with all things Montreal, and am actually trying to learn french and find out anything i can about the city.
Thanks,
a reader

Humans like to classify things, draw lines and put people into boxes with a specific id tags: white-black, men-woman, rich-poor, good-bad, strong-weak, english-french.
Dudes, one thing is sure, we’re all different – but linked. Stop drawing lines.
