Concious choice
Hours of browsing.
I discovered Concious choice, a magazine that reports on environmental issues and natural alternatives in health care, food, and nutrition, also taking a broad look at various topics from a perspective that sees the world as an interconnected, interdependent community whose survival depends on the development of sustainable patterns of living.
Worth a look!
Moby’s journal
What could be more interesting on a saturday evening than to browse thru a selection of judicious writing of a brilliant artist?

flying home & my air sickness
It’s time for me to get ready, again to cross the ocean.
I love to travel, but more and more i dislike to fly. My last flight was disastrous,
i went air sick with a bad cold and fever as an extra to all that. Nothing more to add about this adventure.
And now, am getting ready to visit my family for xmas, but also, for 11 hours of flight and time spent in airports. These place have such a bad air quality, it really drives me sick just to think about it. Conditioned air especially drives me sick.
So, i would really appreciate, if anyone of you have remedies to suggest for jetlag and air sickness, to go on. As i am getting ready to travel more and more over the next year, i must find a way to keep the flying time something else than my worse nightmare…

The Seed Handbook

The Seed Handbook: The feminine way to create business
I am now quickly skipping thru the book, which is by the way beautifully illustrated. The colorfull book looks like an easy going ‘how to’ guide to recognize your entrepreneur skills, and how to use them to build your own business following your passions, values, and integrity.
The book is suported by a website (http://www.seedfusion.com) which unfortunately doesnt look alive…
Inspiration
I discovered this artist today. I am totally hypnotized by a piece called
‘Tribulation’.

As I am sitting at my workplace, seeing the trees letting go of
their leafs for a long while, i would like to write words of wisdom
that would give people inspiration and courage.
But right now everything is going on on the inside, letting the
outside quiet. There is only silence left to fill the emptiness -
of what is in fact not empty and silent at all.

* Words of wisdom *
‘We must remember that everything is ordinary and extraordinary.
It is our mind that open or close’
Quote took from Natalie Goldberg - ‘Writing Down the Bones’
* What is new, what is old, what have i done to get here *
I could resume the last months into a simple sentence,
lots and lots of thinking and re-thinking!
Thinking of what I have done in the last years, where am i at, and
of course, what am i gonna do next. Sitting here today i still don’t
really know what I am gonna do next. I realize more and more that
i cant stand the idea of doing just one kind of job at a time, i need
to mix my occupations, so i don’t get bored and I can keep my
creativity running.
I guess I will continue doing what I did over the last months -
drawing and painting a lot, bring to life projects that are on my mind,
doing personal and commercial projects on the web, looking for
fulfilling work, travelling - and looking for new ways to expand &
express myself. (Signing and dance lessons are on the way, if i can
just unfreeze myself and do it!)
With so many things on my mind, i had the urge to calm down, and
change my environment often so i could change my focus and RELAX a bit!
I did small trips around Germany, and finally managed to do
a week trip alone in Holland. It was absolutely scary and totally
fantastic! Travelling alone is quite a challenge, but it is also magic.
I wish to travel even more in the next years to discover new countries,
new people, new cultures, new energies, and myself. Travelling alone
bring you closer to yourself, you and you. It makes me feel alive.

“Everyone has a dream.
We need your ideas, we need your art
- should it be writing, dancing, cooking, painting, signing -
we need your imagination, actions, solutions.
If you have a dream, begin now!”

this would never end.
I will be in Montreal in December, to celebrate Xmas and new
year with friends & family that i missed a lot in the last months.
If you live around there, its a good time to save the shipping
costs on my illustrations. I will take some copies with me
but better pre-order them before mid-December.
I wish all of you, after reading such a long mail, to go away
from your computer and get something nice for yourself,
you deserve it!
* get a good book and read outside or in a nice coffee
* some chocolate cookies
* a nap with your cat
I wish you lots of nice, quiet time outside in nature, followed
by warm baths with lots of bubbles,
happy fall,

Quotes from ‘Writing Down the Bones’
Havn’t wrote a lot in the last days. I feel like i have nothing to say or write, lots of things going on in my head, but it stays there.
So, to feed you of magic in these gray days (at least it is here - really gray), there are some quotes related to the creative process took from a book i enjoy like a good piece of cake these days - Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within, by Natalie Goldberg.
* * *
“Even if you have pushed yourself and feel you’ve broken through, push yourself further. If you are on, ride that wave as long as you can. Don’t stop in the middle. That moment won’t come back exactly in that way again, and it will take much more time trying to finish a piece later on than completing it now.
I five this advice out of pure experience. Go further than you think you can.”
* * *
“… if you want to become a good writer, you need to do 3 things.
Read a lot,
Listen well and deeply,
and write a lot.
And don’t think too much.”
* * *
“I feel very rich when i have time to create, and very poor when i get a regular paycheck and not time to work at my real work…”
* * *
“We must remember that everything is ordinary and extraordinary. It is our mind that open or close.”

“Like running, the more you do it, the better you get at it. Some days, you don’t want to run and you resist every step of the three miles, but you do it anyway. You practice whether you want to or not. You don’t wait around for inspiration and a deep desire to run. It’ll never happen, especially if you are out of shape and have been avoiding it. Bur if you run regularly, you train your mind to cut through or ignore your resistance. You just do it. And in the middle of the run, your love it. When you come to the end, you never want to stop. And you stop, hungry for the next time.”
Synchronicity
I was sitting yesterday, same coffee i use to go, remembering the lasts times i was there in the last weeks. Somehow these small parts of my days spent outside my studio where kind of refreshing, insight-full, even sometimes extraordinary!.
Its in these small parts of my days that i got my best ideas, saw things clearer, got confident that i was doing the right thing at the right time. Like if i was suddenly out of a fog. Same goes for other “ordinary” activities that turned out to be real inspirations in my days - the sound of the rain, the trees, flowers, the colors of nature - surprising me everyday as i sit to start to work and look outside…
Sitting in this same coffee i was wondering about why everything around me looks so special to me now…
One sip of hot chocolate, i open my book, and at mid page is written as follow:
“We must remember that everything is ordinary and extraordinary. It is our mind that open or close.”
From Natalie Goldberg’s Writing down the bones
